J T's journey

A little while later...

Well its been a while, but I vowed not to become a two-post wonder, like so many do.

Problem was getting the time to write something, and getting stuff to write about.

Since my last post I have been studying for my exam (to be a Chartered Accountant) which I sat last Tuesday. Since then I went and saw Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith, and saw Bride & Prejudice, visited our old farm, sat one of the IQ tests (see a previous posting!) slept, and worked.

Star Wars 3 was good, a little frustrating as you know the end result, so in some ways the movie becomes just a necessary process to get there. As I have read, you do see that Darth Vader/Anakin isn't so much evil, as he is a tragic figure. I guess there is even a link to Othello now I think about...

Bride & Prejudice was good also, (despite the $13/14 I had to spend, - as you will work out I spent roughly $30 in 1 week to see 2 movies - I will be glad when they build the other cinema @ Chartwell, then hopefully they will drive prices down because of competition. Go the free market! Down with Monopolies!)
Anyway it was good. I had read the book (Pride & Prejudice) as well as most of Jane Austen's other novels, as to get inside the female mind. Obviously it hasn't worked. B&P had 2 kiwi actors (Martin Henderson - my hero when I was 12, when I went to high school I had a label on my books with him on it, the other guys thought I was gay (which I am definitely not!)) and Daniel Gillies (who I actually went to school with, and have acted with too! in terms of degrees of seperation, this means I am only 1 degree seperate from Kirsten Dunst!) and also "Said/Sayed" from Lost.

Since then I have had too many good (read: unhealthy) feeds. Healthy eating from now on.

Did the IQ test. Dissappointed with the result, as I had done a 40 question 1 online a week or so ago and got 131 (genius). This time I got less than that (I'm not going to say how much) mainly because you are limited by time and can't refer back.

Seeing our old farm was cool. Lately I have been disappointed with myself/my lot in life, that I haven't achieved as much as I want to have achieved by now (age 25.5). Looking at our farm and my old school etc reminded me of where I have come from, and showed me how far I had actually come.
Anyway breakfast beckons.
PS: on my shift I am now the person who has been there the longest
